Senior Project Accountant – Advice Personnel – New York City

A successful Manhattan-based real estate construction management firm is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to handle the accounting and reporting for several large-scale development projects (budgets $150 million+). The ideal candidate will possess the skills and savvy to be an important contributor to the firm’s accounting process. • Responsible for proper and continuous flow of day-to-day accounting activities for projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and perform project setup in accounting system.
• Gather information for cost certification including lien waivers, invoices, insurance certificates and scheduling of projects.
• Liaise with Project Managers regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications and approvals.
• Prepare and submit month-end AIA billings (G702/703).
• Manage job cost reporting and analysis.
• Prepare cost and budget reports.
• Report on project profitability to upper management.

• 4+ years of relevant experience in construction or development firms.
• Working knowledge of relevant software including Timberline or Yardi.
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast‑paced, multi‑faceted environment.
• Be able to multi‑task and be a team player.

$110,000 – 120,000 + bonus, health benefits (medical, dental and vision), 401k and other valuable perks.
