Tax Accountant / Tax Preparer (Pro Series, Lacerte, Quick Books)
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11201 (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $25–$28 per hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Temporary / Seasonal (Tax Season Only) January – April
Schedule: Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM ;
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM ;
Full-time during tax season
A busy and well-established Tax Preparation Office in Brooklyn (11201) is seeking an experienced Seasonal Tax Accountant / Tax Preparer to support operations during the 2026 tax season. This role runs from January through April and is ideal for tax professionals with hands‑on experience using professional tax software in a high‑volume environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns
- Utilize professional tax software to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Work directly with clients to collect documentation and clarify tax matters
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Assist with bookkeeping and financial records as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client information
- Prior experience as a Tax Accountant or Tax Preparer (2-3 years)
- Proficiency with Pro Series and Lacerte (required)
- Working knowledge of Quick Books
- Experience with Pro Connect or Ultra Tax strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Availability to work full‑time hours including Saturdays during tax season
