A leading global alternative investment manager has an immediate opening for a Fund Accountant to join a sophisticated and highly collaborative finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to complex fund structures, investment products, and senior stakeholders while working across multiple areas of the business.

Job Description:- Prepare and record accounting entries in accordance with firm policies and US GAAP.
- Review monthly books and records prepared by third-party fund administrators and analyze fund P&L and returns.
- Review economic allocations, management fees, incentive allocations, and investor statements.
- Calculate investor capital calls and distributions and track unfunded commitments and recallable distributions.
- Prepare internal, investor, and regulatory reporting deliverables, including ad hoc fund and investor analyses.
- Review fund expenses and management fee payments and resolve related cash breaks.
- Review quarterly and annual financial statements, footnote disclosures, and financial highlights.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and external administrators to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of public accounting, private accounting, fund accounting, or fund administration experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA preferred, but not required.
- Fund accounting experience with various fund structures and complex allocations and fee calculations.
- Exposure to financial products such as fixed income, equities, repos, or derivatives is a plus.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with financial systems, process improvement, or AI/automation is a plus.
- NYC-based with 3-4 days per week in the office.
