Location: New York
Maintain accurate financial records and analyze business performance to support reporting, planning, and decision-making. Combine accounting responsibilities with financial analysis to strengthen controls, explain results, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Investigate variances and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Support audits, internal controls, and applicable reporting requirements.
- Improve financial data accuracy and reporting processes.
- Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience in accounting, financial analysis, or reporting.
- Understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and familiarity with accounting or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail, professional integrity, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A relevant qualification, such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA, is an advantage.
