Director of Payroll

Our client is an established private credit firm that has scaled significantly in recent years while maintaining a collaborative, tight-knit culture. As the business continues to expand, they are looking to hire an experienced Director of Payroll to take ownership of payroll across a growing employee population.

This is a hands-on, highly autonomous role overseeing a complex, multi-state payroll environment. You'll remain close to the day-to-day process while taking ownership of payroll processing and controls, tax and compliance matters, vendor management, employee inquiries, and related benefits administration.

A major focus will also be on process improvement and automation. As the firm continues to grow, this person will have the opportunity to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and help build a more scalable payroll function.

What They're Looking For

• 8+ years of US payroll experience, ideally within the financial services industry
• Experience managing multi-state payroll within a complex, fast-paced organization
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local payroll tax and compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to operate independently while partnering across HR, Finance and the broader business
