We are seeking an experienced Tax Reviewer to oversee and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns prepared by junior staff. This role involves ensuring compliance with tax regulations, mentoring team members, and collaborating on complex tax matters.
Key Responsibilities- Review tax returns for accuracy and compliance with federal and state laws
- Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies
- Conduct tax research and assist with tax planning strategies
- Mentor and provide feedback to junior staff
- Stay current on tax laws and industry trends
- Communicate with clients and internal teams on tax-related issues
- CPA or EA license (or in active pursuit)
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of public accounting experience
- Experience in supervising or mentoring staff
- Proficiency in Ultra Tax (required);
Quick Books or CCH is a plus - Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, especially during tax season
