Tax Manager - Commercial Real Estate

A growing national CPA firm is looking to appoint a Tax Manager within its established Commercial Real Estate practice.

This opportunity is suited to someone who enjoys partnership taxation, understands the complexities of real estate ownership structures and wants to work more closely with clients on planning and advisory matters.

You'll be working with property owners, developers, investors, real estate partnerships and privately held real estate businesses.

• Manage federal and state tax engagements for commercial real estate clients.
• Review complex partnership returns, including Forms 1065 and Schedules K-1.
• Advise on partnership allocations, basis adjustments and ownership structures.
• Support tax planning for acquisitions, dispositions and other real estate transactions.
• Review multistate tax compliance and research technical issues.
• Manage engagement budgets, deadlines and client deliverables.
• Act as a primary contact for assigned clients.
• Supervise and develop Senior Associates and junior tax professionals.

• 6+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• CPA, EA or JD qualification.
• Strong partnership tax knowledge.
• Experience with commercial real estate clients preferred.
• Confidence managing engagements and client relationships.
• Strong technical research and communication skills.
