Salary: $60,000–$65,000

Job Description:
A mission-driven nonprofit organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and grant-related financial activity.
This is a hands-on role for someone with a solid nonprofit accounting foundation who is comfortable balancing core accounting responsibilities with detailed administrative work. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable with repetitive tasks such as invoice uploads, document management, and entering information into grant reporting systems.
Responsibilities- Record daily financial transactions, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Prepare deposits and maintain accurate cash records.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end close.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and account analysis.
- Track grant-related revenue and expenses.
- Prepare grant reimbursement requests and financial reports for funders.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready grant and contract files.
- Enter information into grant reporting portals and maintain supporting documentation.
- 1–3+ years of accounting experience.
- Nonprofit and grant accounting experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principles.
- Comfortable handling both transactional and higher-level accounting work.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- MIP Fund Accounting experience preferred.
