Senior Property Accountant

Location: New York

Description Kforce has a client that is seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant for an opportunity with a well-established organization in New York City. This position will support the financial operations of a commercial property and work closely with the onsite property team, tenants, and vendors.

Responsibilities:
* Manage accounting activities for a commercial property, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports and accounting records
* Support monthly financial reporting and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information
* Review leases and assist with CAM-related accounting activities
* Perform budget-to-actual analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting
* Work directly with vendors and tenants to resolve accounting-related questions
* Support accounting related to ongoing property projects
* Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure established accounting procedures are followed
* Partner closely with the onsite property management team Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* 5-7 years of accounting or financial experience
* Commercial real estate/property accounting experience
* Experience with AP, AR, and financial reporting
* Knowledge of CAM and lease-related accounting
* Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting software
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with Yardi is a plus
