Accounting Manager

Location: New York

We are looking for an accomplished Accounting Manager to join our finance team. In this role, you will partner closely with the Controller to maintain accurate financial reporting, strengthen accounting operations, and support a growing business environment. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with sound judgment, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Responsibilities:
• Lead balance sheet reconciliation activities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to maintain the accuracy and reliability of financial records.
• Support the period-end close by reviewing journal entries, analyzing account activity, and investigating significant fluctuations.
• Manage core cash activities, including receipt tracking, application of funds, and bank account reconciliation, to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Oversee accounts receivable-related accounting workflows and resolve complex posting discrepancies or allocation issues.
• Contribute to acquisition-related accounting work, including purchase accounting, opening entries, policy alignment, and integration support for newly added entities.
• Research technical accounting questions and recommend appropriate treatment in accordance with applicable accounting guidance.
• Coordinate with external tax and audit partners by preparing requested information and assisting with compliance-related deliverables.
• Evaluate existing accounting procedures and internal controls, then introduce practical improvements, automation opportunities, and standardized documentation to support operational growth.
