About the Company Our client, a growing life reinsurance business backed by an established financial services group, is focused on expanding its reinsurance portfolio and building the infrastructure to support its long-term growth ambitions. With plans for significant expansion, this is an exciting time to join the business.
The Opportunity This position will play an important role in developing the accounting and finance capabilities of a growing life reinsurance platform.
Working closely with senior finance leadership and colleagues across international teams, you will have exposure to a broad range of accounting and operational activities, with the opportunity to improve processes, strengthen controls and help build a scalable finance function.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing accounting reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
Understanding reinsurance contracts and their associated accounting processes.
Reviewing system feeds, ledger entries and underlying data.
Supporting financial close, management reporting and financial analysis.
Strengthening internal controls and improving accounting procedures.
Coordinating with international colleagues across finance, operations and actuarial teams.
What We’re Looking For Experience in life insurance, life reinsurance, or annuity accounting.
Strong reconciliation, accounting operations, and controls experience.
Understanding of how transactions and underlying data flow through accounting systems.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
US GAAP experience
Familiarity with US statutory or Bermuda statutory reporting.
CPA qualification would be a bonus.
