Position: Tax Manager (Hybrid) Public Accounting & Review
Location: New York

Description Kforce's client, and growing boutique CPA Firm with ~40 employees and multiple offices in NY and NJ, is adding a Tax Manager to their team. This is an exciting newly created position in a growing firm with a great work-life balance, culture. The Tax Manager will manage ~10 employees in the office while also performing Tax and Review services.

Responsibilities include:

* Leading the team and provide coaching and mentoring
* Reviewing Tax Returns (individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and trust tax returns)
* Using your expertise to complete complex tax issues and mentor and coach and guide preparers
* Manage the office team workflow, assignments, resources and deadlines across concurrent and overlapping client engagements
* Face of the Firm in NYC and will handle process improvement and creative suggestions to help expand the office and help to make the office most efficient

* Tax Manager/Supervisor 6+ years of Public Accounting Tax experience (planning, compliance, review)
* 5+ years of demonstrated reviewing of tax returns across multiple entity types
* Supervisory experience
* Knowledge of federal, New York, and multistate taxation
* Client facing and employee mentoring expertise
* CPA Highly referred
* Nice to have Ultra Tax CS, Canopy, and Quick Books Online is a plus
* Hybrid office - in the office 3 days per week
