Bookkeeper

As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting compliance with the regulatory requirements of a public company. This role requires a strong understanding of both US GAAP and IFRS, as well as a commitment to precision and confidentiality.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and expense tracking.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and reviews.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow statements.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure adherence to corporate policies and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Continuously improve accounting processes and implement best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within a public company.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Proficiency in accounting software (SAGE), Microsoft Excel and Google Sheet.
• Familiarity with the Canadian and US regulatory environments is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
