Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex Individual (resident and non-resident), C and S Corporation, Partnership, Fiduciary, Gift, Single Member LLC, Foreign Bank Account Report, Exempt Organization and Private Foundation tax returns
- Review Business License, Property Tax, and Sales & Use tax returns
- Prepare and review tax adjusting journal entries for business management clients’ books and records
- Prepare and review quarterly tax estimates and year-end individual projections and business closeouts
- Prepare and review tax basis schedules
- Respond to IRS and state taxing authority notices and audits
- Point of contact with various non-business management tax clients and business management affiliates
- Prepare and review Forms W-2, 1099, and 1042 as necessary
- Tax research
- Develop procedures, processes, and templates to establish best practices
Knowledge, Education, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Education – Bachelor’s Degree
- CPA license
- 7-15 years tax experience
- Accounting proficiency
- Proficiency with Tax Preparation and Projection Software, (Prosystem FX & BNA preferred)
- Proficiency with Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Personable, positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Proficient in overseeing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities
- Taking initiative
- Problem-solving ability
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
- Certified Public Accountant
