Salary: $45,000 – $85,000 (depending on experience)
Responsibilities- Maintain electronic and physical case management system, opening and closing files and maintaining archives.
- Draft, proofread, edit, print, copy, collate, scan and staple documents.
- Assist with preparations for hearings and trials, perform legal and informational research.
- Communicate with court staff and outside entities.
- Affirm, promote and model the Christian values and mission of the ministry to staff, supporters, writers, vendors, and others.
- Maintain ethical and appropriate interactions with those inside and outside the ministry, including prayer time and meetings.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.
- College degree preferred.
- Effective computer skills with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
- Understanding and reference of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, documents, terms, formatting and citations.
- Ability to synthesize information quickly and accurately while maintaining an organized, efficient workspace.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail and grammatical accuracy.
- Experience with computerized case management system and maintaining contemporaneous time records.
- Ability to interact effectively with supervisors and coworkers and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to pray with others, including in team prayer time and meetings.
- Good witness for Christ by maintaining appropriate interactions.
- Review litigation mail, enter into case management system, generate reports and track case statistics.
- Compose, proof, compare, format, redline, index, staple, and collate documents.
- Prepare trial and hearing binders, charts, spreadsheets, mail packages, table of contents and authorities.
- Prepare exhibits, notices, form objections to discovery, check requests, witness and document subpoenas.
- Monitor litigation mailbox and case dockets.
- Communicate with courts, parties, counsel and vendors on schedules, notices, copies and other matters.
- Schedule appointments, manage attorney calendars, litigation deadlines and maintain secondary calendar system.
- Arrange travel, court reporters, conference rooms and videographers.
- Track legal office supplies and coordinate restocking.
