Billing Service Desk Coordinator

Join MoFo as a Billing Service Desk Coordinator on our Financial Operations team. This role supports the Client Accounting team by handling workflow requests for billing data, reports, and procedural questions.
Responsibilities- Promote and model MoFo’s Client Service Principles in teamwork, work product, and personal interaction.
- Ensure exemplary client service to internal and external clients, proactively promote client service throughout the department.
- Respond to peer requests recognizing that they serve a client or firm need.
- Use financial system, workflows, and tools to review, assign and complete ad‑hoc requests for prebills, inventory reports, invoice copies, and general inquiries.
- Monitor service levels in workflows and ensure timely responses to requests.
- Review outside counsel guidelines and document relevant provisions relating to client billing.
- Achieve a solid understanding of client and matter setups, audit matter setups for accuracy.
- Provide backup to Client Accounting team in covering absences of team members and distributing prebills during the monthly prebill cycle.
- Assist with audits and reconciliations of financial data, including review and submission of electronic files to clients.
- Some college experience including coursework in accounting or business preferred; associate’s degree strongly preferred.
- Prior billing experience preferred but not required. Strong desire to build a career in legal accounting is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with peers and internal clients.
- Excellent customer service skills; ability to determine the nature of a request and answer completely and efficiently, keeping stakeholders informed on complex requests.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required; affinity for learning new software highly desired.
- Strong attention to detail; ability to follow instructions with high degree of accuracy; ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding firm business observations or viewpoints.
