Position: Floor Host/ Mailroom $22.50/hr

Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $22.50/hr

The Floor Host/ Mailroom serves as the primary point of contact on the office floors, delivering an elevated, hospitality-focused experience for all clients, employees, and guests. This role is responsible for providing real-time support, answering questions, resolving issues, and connecting individuals with the right resources or services. The Floor Host ensures the office environment remains polished, professional, and welcoming at all times.

Hours: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm

Pay Rate: $22.50/hr

Location:
Midtown

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist guests, clients, and employees, providing a warm and professional experience
  • Support meetings by confirming room setup requirements including lighting, AV, temperature, and supplies
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and readiness of all office areas through regular floor tours
  • Assist with workspace reservations, helping users secure available space and ensuring optimal room usage
  • Monitor scheduled meetings to ensure timely arrivals, adjust for no-shows, and reset rooms for the next event
  • Collaborate with facilities and building services to report and track any maintenance issues
  • Return and secure equipment after meetings and ensure it is stored properly
  • Capture and report customer interactions to support continuous improvement
  • Provide in-person, phone, and email support for a variety of workplace needs and questions
  • Follow and uphold all Forrest Solutions and client-specific policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing training and development as required
Required Qualifications:
  • 2–3 years of experience in hospitality, or related service industries
  • Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
  • Comfortable using and supporting audio/visual equipment
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods throughout the day
  • Professional demeanor, polished communication skills, and customer-first attitude
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Must be confident interfacing with clients and employees at all professional levels
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities
  • Positive, proactive, and service-oriented approach
  • Ability to resolve issues and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Works independently while contributing to a team environment

Physical Requirements:
  • Standing, walking, and bending frequently
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Use of fine motor skills for handling equipment and technology
  • Clear verbal communication and active listening required
  • Regular interaction with guests in a professional office environment
