Position summaryThis role provides administrative support to visually impaired staff by taking notes, reading information aloud, and entering data into computer systems. Handles routine clerical tasks such as managing files, escorting visitors, answering phones, and learning new software as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Take notes for visually impaired staff and type them if written by hand.
- Read information to visually impaired staff.
- Enter data into various computer programs.
- Physically handle files, including sorting, locating, and returning files.
- Learn new computer programs, as required.
- Escort visitors.
- Answer phone calls and take messages.
- Perform other routine clerical duties as assigned.
