Pursuit is looking for a Junior Accounting Assistant to perform an assortment of accounting and administrative duties. The candidate should be a self-motivated, organized person.

Tasks for this role include supporting staff in billing and other accounting needs, as well as helping the office run smoothly. The ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to maintain a high level of organization and accuracy.

Job Description
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including data entry, client billing, and payment tracking
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor and customer records
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related inquiries and discrepancies
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails in a professional manner
  • Execute general office duties such as data entry, mail processing, ordering office supplies, filing, and other administrative tasks for special projects as requested
  • Communicate effectively with team members and external vendors or clients as needed
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Quick Books a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management
  • Skilled at problem-solving with the ability to suggest and implement effective solutions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people on all levels
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new tasks
