TC Experience - Recognition and Stewardship Manager

The TC Experience Team at Teachers College, Columbia University is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and creative individual to manage stewardship and recognition activities as well as logistics in support of cultivation events both on and off campus. Reporting to the Associate Director of Recognition and Stewardship, the Manager will be the point of contact for activities that offer stakeholders from across the TC community opportunities to engage and connect in ways that support TC’s short and long term goals and builds support for the College.
Our ideal candidate would be willing to juggle multiple projects, knowing how to prioritize.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Recognition and Stewardship

Serving as traffic manager for stewardship and engagement activities

Managing special outreach that celebrates alumni and donor milestones (birthday/anniversaries/gift recognition)

Assisting with donor acknowledgements, as needed

Coordinating communication and stewardship activities related to the President’s Advisory Council, donor giving societies, and alumni recognition.

Event Logistics

Supporting meetings and activities that engage our volunteer leadership

Identifying and securing venues suitable for donor cultivation activities

Working with chosen venues to organize event logistics including catering and AV needs

Working with IA Business Manager on the internal process for vendor contracts

Communicating with local hosts as well as campus partners about cultivation events

Managing event registration/attendance and alumni/donor milestone lists

Drafting copy for invitations, signage and promotional materials

Organizing event materials including name tags, signage and give-aways

Administrative

Providing other data-related assistance, as needed - updating excel/google sheets, adding actions to database, requesting lists/data information from Advancement Services, etc.

Providing additional general office support as needed, which may include filing, proofreading, drafting communications, making phone calls, and other daily business tasks as requested

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated experience in managing events logistics and budgets.

Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Drive.

Proven ability to effectively manage multiple and varied projects simultaneously

Excellent writing skills; a cover letter is a must.

Punctuality and responsiveness

Discretion and ability to handle confidential information is essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Ability to be on-campus, as needed

Knowledge of Content Management Systems, HTML, Adobe Creative Suite or other computer software is desired. Comfortable working with databases.

Well-developed project management skills with the ability to take initiative, keep to timelines, and to prioritize between conflicting demands

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in Raiser’s Edge and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Salary Range:

$69,000 - $79,000
