Location: New York
Staff accountant/Bookkeeper/Admin
Essential Job Functions:- Bank and Brokerage account reconciliation.
- Assist with the firm’s day‑to‑day bookkeeping and recording of all data entries of receipts and disbursements in Quick Books Desktop and Online.
- Bill pay for several corporate and personal entities.
- Submission of medical insurance claims.
- Maintain ongoing schedules related to art purchases, insurance, charitable contributions, and other ad hoc reports for CFO & family members.
- Assist senior accountant and managing director with projects in investments, estate planning, taxes, philanthropy, art, and physical asset management.
- Assist in creating and maintaining family office handbook including legal, accounting, and personal information for all entities and family members.
- Provide excellent administrative assistance and concierge service to high‑net‑worth individuals.
- Manage internal documentation and data retention procedures. Filing and organizing statements from online banking, including retrieval of monthly/quarterly financial information from intranet investor sites.
- BS Degree in Accounting and/or applicable bookkeeping experience (with a thorough understanding of accounting model).
- Proficiency in Quick Books & Excel, with experience in Microsoft Word and Office.
- High attention to detail and organized. Strong oral and written communication.
- Great work ethic, self‑motivated, team player, competitive, personable, and highly competent. Must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate good judgment and the ability to maintain confidential information, as well as strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Positive, no‑task‑too‑small attitude.
- On‑site work in Long Island office with occasional 1‑2 days a month in NYC office. Potential for one day a week remote after training.
