Overview
An affluent NYC-based family is seeking a seasoned, highly organized Personal Assistant to support day-to-day personal, household, and administrative needs. This is a long-term, hybrid role requiring discretion, strong judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced private environment while maintaining absolute confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Household & Personal Support
- Coordinate household vendors, maintenance, repairs, and service providers
- Oversee schedules for cleaning, deliveries, and home projects
- Manage personal errands and time-sensitive requests
- Assist with wardrobe management, returns, alterations, and personal shopping as needed
Scheduling & Administration
- Manage complex personal calendars and appointments
- Handle personal correspondence, emails, and document organization
- Track expenses, invoices, and basic personal bookkeeping
- Maintain digital filing systems and household records
Events & Logistics
- Assist with event planning, reservations, and entertaining logistics
General
- Anticipate needs and solve problems independently
- Act as a trusted gatekeeper and point of contact
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
Note:
This role does not involve travel.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or Family Assistant (private household experience strongly preferred)
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and emotional intelligence
- Comfortable supporting affluent or high-net-worth principals
- Tech-savvy (Google Workspace, calendars, expense tracking tools)
- Able to be onsite in the NYC home two days per week
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation & Structure
- $85,000 annual salary (W-2)
- No health benefits
- Paid time off and holidays (details shared during interview process)
- Hybrid schedule: 2 in-home days per week, remainder remote
