We take a comprehensive approach by offering more than 180integrated programs in:
Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Job Training & Employment Support Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. We reach more than 72,000individuals and families each year at our 100locations, including 10,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe.
Over 85% of our families live in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today.
(CEC) offers ESOL classes primarily to individuals who are at least 16 years old, who are not enrolled or not required to be enrolled in the New York City public school system, and who live or work in the Flatbush/East Flatbush communities of Brooklyn, New York. Each year, over 1,000 people from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, and Latin America enroll in our ESOL classes.
In general, we provide our English learners with the type of educational, case management, career counseling, and technical services that can help them realize their family, educational, employment, and/or other personal goals.
