The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Guilderland is seeking a Full-time Nursing Unit Clerk
Schedule:
Monday - Friday
Hours:7a-3p
Pay Ranges:$18 - $22 hourly
NOW OFFERING SAME DAY PAY Unit Clerk Requirements Include:- Must have a High School degree of equivalent
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the facility
- Must display a solid work ethic.
Duties Include:
- Keep patient records accurately identified.
- Communicate with members of the health care team, patients, and visitors using verbal and written means and equipment such as the telephone and intercom.
- Assist recreation aides in transporting to and from activities, rehab and appointments as needed
- Prepare and maintain the unit’s medical information system including patient profiles.
- Prepare special forms and may obtain closed records from Medical Records.
- Send profile and change-of-bed status on patient admission, discharge, and transfer.
- Assist with receiving, distributing, and sorting supplies brought to the unit.
- Perform clerical duties such as making copies and faxing documents.
- Greet visitors /consultants etc. to the unit, assist as needed.
- Answer incoming calls and route callers to the correct extension.
- Track appointments (ordered vs completed).
- Upload forms, consultations, resident records etc. to the electronic medical record.
