Adirondack Tire & Mavis Tire – Automotive Mechanics – Join our team in the Albany, NY area. Mavis, one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States, is looking for full‑time Automotive Mechanics to work at our state‑of‑the‑art service and retail centers.
About the PositionMavis’s Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. Duties include undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks; state‑mandated inspections; oil and filter changes; fluid checks; worn part replacements; and tire dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing.

- At least 2 years of automotive repair experience or equivalent education/training
- Extensive personal tool kit for undercar repairs
- Preferred:
State inspection license(s) - Preferred: ASE Certifications – G1 (Automotive Maintenance & Light Repair), A4 (Suspension & Steering), A5 (Brakes)
Physical requirements:
must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance. Must regularly lift or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
