Automotive Technician​/Mechanic-MBB

About the Role:

As an Automotive Technician/Mechanic at MBB Auto, LLC Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing luxury vehicles to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle serviced meets the rigorous performance and reliability expectations associated with the Mercedes Benz brand. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and perform repairs or maintenance efficiently to minimize vehicle downtime.

Collaboration with service advisors and other technicians will be essential to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold the dealership’s reputation. Ultimately, your work will contribute to customer satisfaction, vehicle safety, and the overall success of the service department.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent experience in automotive repair.
• Proven experience working as an automotive technician or mechanic, preferably with luxury vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot vehicle issues.

• Experience specifically with Mercedes Benz vehicles or other luxury automotive brands.
• Completion of manufacturer-specific training or certification programs related to Mercedes Benz.
• NYS Inspectors license
• Familiarity with dealership service operations and customer service best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on Mercedes Benz vehicles, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Utilize specialized diagnostic equipment and software to identify vehicle issues accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors to provide accurate repair estimates and updates on vehicle status.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols and dealership policies.
• Stay current with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and certification programs.
• Document all work performed thoroughly and accurately in the dealership’s service management system.

The required skills enable the technician to accurately diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, ensuring that all work meets Mercedes Benz quality standards. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software is essential for efficient troubleshooting and repair, reducing vehicle downtime and enhancing customer satisfaction. Communication skills are used daily to collaborate with service advisors and customers, providing clear explanations of vehicle conditions and repair needs.

Preferred skills, such as manufacturer-specific knowledge and experience with luxury vehicles, allow the technician to handle brand-specific technologies and systems with confidence. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities ensure that repairs are thorough and reliable, contributing to vehicle safety and performance.
