Lab Tech

OBJECTIVE

The Lab Technician I has the responsibility for most basic electronic repairs of bill acceptors, thermal printers, power supplies, and monitors. The Lab Technician I will assist in the repairs of items diagnosed by higher level technicians. The Lab Technician I will assist in maintaining control of supplies and repaired parts that enter and exit the Tech Lab. The Lab Technician I is responsible for providing superior customer service and competent performance to all the department and customer encounters.

Lab Technician I will be available for Kobetroning, RAM clears, and key chips if needed. The Lab Technician I will maintain a friendly and professional relationship with all departments serviced or encountered.

Prolonged periods of walking, kneeling, bending in a smoke-filled Casino environment. As well as lifting of no more then 50 lbs. in a secured lab environment, where high voltage and sensitive electronic equipment and parts are serviced.

• Knowledge of electronic theory and capacity to perform electronic repairs.
• Knowledge of validators, printers, game monitors, power supplies and game boards.
• Capability to perform detailed and delicate work with sensitive electronic parts.
• Ability to use analog and digital multi meters. Knowledge of EPROMS and other programmed mediums used in the Lab for slot machine operation.
• Ability to use a computer for databases input of inventory control.
• Oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

• High School Diploma is desirable.
• Evidence of electronic training.

• Minimum 2 years of electronic work experience, electronic bench repair and assembly experience with good soldering skills.
• Mechanical repair experience related to motors, printers, and validators.
• At least 6 months experience with EPROMS and other programmed mediums similar to those used in the Lab for slot machine operation.
• Must have the ability to operate a computer for databases input.

A professional certification in technical repairs related to the type of equipment used for slot machines may be substituted for one year of experience.
