- Mechanic - Car/Auto (Will Train) (FT/PT)
Fab-Tex, a busy medium/ heavy duty truck upfitter/dealer located in Bohemia, NY, is expanding its service team. We are currently looking to hire a reliable, hard working "C" Mechanic/ Auto Helper to join our rapidly growing team.
Responsibilities- Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to, oil changes, mirrors and wipers installations, greasing trucks, lights on/ off, etc.
- Maintains and keeps up to date all necessary work logs.
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems.
- Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (preferred) OR will train
- The mechanic must provide own tools necessary to perform maintenance repair and diagnostics.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, motivation, focus, and organization.
- Current and valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, but not mandatory).
- Must have great communication skills within a team environment.
- Can work in a face-paced shop without sacrificing quality of work.
The physical demands described here are a representation of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- The employee is required to stand, walk, grasp tools, hear, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit for an extended time period, lift/ move up to 25 lbs, and have good vision.
