Director Procurement IT - Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp.

We’re looking for a leader to join our team. The Director of Procurement IT will report to the VP, Venue Operations & Technology Procurement and provide support for the development and execution of procurement strategies across the MSG Ventures organization.

Who are we hiring?

Under the supervision of the VP, Venue Operations & Technology Procurement, The Director IT Procurement will provide support the development and execution of procurement strategies across the MSG Ventures organization. The Director IT Procurement is responsible for supporting, partnering and collaborating strategic sourcing strategies for all related IT spend across MSG Ventures.

What will you do?
  • Plan and execute procurement strategy for all MSG related projects.
  • Prepare RFQ and RFP bidder documentation to distribute to potential project vendors and contractors.
  • Manage the bidding process and assist the team in evaluating proposals and negotiating best value, including potential partnership opportunities.
  • Review and approve requisitions for goods or services associated with projects managed.
  • Collaborate with the business leaders to evaluate Technology investment plans and identify sourcing opportunities and strategies to drive the sourcing pipeline and deliver cost savings.
  • Utilize analytical experience to create and evaluate total cost of ownership models, assist clients in delivering measurable cost savings and quality improvement, and contingency supply strategies.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure engagement in all activities and compliance with company policies and directives.
  • Monitor and manage supplier and service provider relationships to ensure established performance standards are met, resolve dispute situations as needed, and monitor client satisfaction with goods and services provided.
  • Partner with IT and Finance in the contract administration of all maintenance agreements.
What do you need to succeed?
  • BS in Finance, Business, Purchasing or Operations related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience across all IT Categories (Software, Hardware, Cloud etc.)
  • Experience negotiating highly complex technology agreements for hardware, software, services and enterprise solutions.
  • Ability to translate goals into procurement opportunities as well as effectively communicating progress.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships and hold ongoing dialogues with executive management.
  • Must have strong technical depth in procurement best practices - particularly in procurement transformation strategies, and process improvements with focus on complete procure-to-pay processes.
  • Hands on experience with obtaining bids as well as use of a procurement system (Coupa experience is a Plus).
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office Programs.
