** We are seeking an individual with a ‘hunter’ mentality, demonstrating a proactive approach to identifying and qualifying new business opportunities within the DMV sector. The ideal candidate will already have strong relationships within state government entities and a comprehensive understanding of legacy DMV system operations. High-level technical acumen is important, particularly in the areas of modernisation and transformation; while expertise in AWS or other hyper-scaler platforms is preferred, it is not essential.

The ability to think strategically and drive business development in the context of state DMVs is critical for success in this role.

This newly created Director, Business Development, Strategy, Consultant role is specifically designed to expand Kyndryl’s presence among Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) clients, focusing on state-level customers and their affiliated DMV associations. The position targets individuals with established connections and significant experience within state DMVs, enabling Kyndryl to grow its business within the state government sector. This is a strategic appointment aimed at strengthening Kyndryl’s footprint in this  this role, you will spearhead consulting engagements spanning strategic planning, organisational restructuring, and the management of initiatives to enhance business efficiency.

You will partner with senior management within customer organisations, offering analysis and innovative recommendations for business improvement.

Required Skills and Experience
* 5+ years’ experience in business strategy consulting or a related field
* Background in Business Analytics
* Demonstrated ability to manage large enterprise deals, with revenue between $50 million and $100 million
* Proven track record qualifying and advancing significant, state-specific DMV opportunities
* Expertise in gathering and synthesising data, conducting market research, and delivering actionable insights and recommendations
* Strong understanding of business operations, industry dynamics, and market trends
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer engagement, presentations, and report preparation
