Senior Compensation Analyst
Join to apply for the Senior Compensation Analyst role at Scholastic in New York City. This role requires a minimum of two days per week in the SoHo office, with additional in‑office attendance as needed.
Job DescriptionUnder general guidance, this role processes standard compensation transactions, performs job analysis, manages salary survey submissions, and conducts analyses on internal compensation programs. The analyst interfaces with HRBPs, Finance, Payroll, vendors, and HRIS.
Responsibilities- Manage and respond to incoming requests for compensation review and analysis, including job evaluations and FLSA requests.
- Gather internal data for annual salary survey submissions and respond to survey company inquiries.
- Monitor shared mailbox and approve standard transactions in Workday; obtain information for non‑standard transactions and present to Corporate Compensation.
- Audit Workday for accurate compensation‑related changes and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with annual merit processes and short‑term incentive plan administration.
- Administer the company’s spot bonus program, monitor budget spend, and generate quarterly reports for HR.
- Support ad‑hoc reporting and participate in departmental initiatives and projects.
- 5 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of compensation concepts including FLSA, market movement, and compression.
- Strong analytical, attention to detail, and deadline‑driven work ethic.
- Ability to communicate findings to diverse audiences.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; discreet with confidential material.

Annual Salary: $89,000 – $130,000
