The Global Business Consulting team consists of Consultants from a wide variety of backgrounds including hotel industry, travel, management consulting, IT consulting, and general management.
What You’ll Do- Effectively complete multi-workstream engagements, prioritize client requests and work objectives using project management methodologies, such as project plans and issue logs.
- Lead air projects with global complex customers (e.g., 40+ points of sale, $150M in global air spend).
- Develop hypotheses, identify data to evaluate based on client needs, review and validate analyses, and create insightful recommendations.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of TMC travel data, airline pricing/inventory management, corporate fare filing, and multiple data sources.
- Use data visualization tools and reporting (e.g., Tableau) and create tailored models and scenarios using available datasets.
- Communicate complex subject matter into clear key messages for team members and clients.
- Lead global airline relationships and represent both customer and consultancy interests.
- Build strong working relationships with key partners and use Amex GBT tools to develop best‑in‑class deliverables.
- Navigate global, matrixed client organizations and coach team members on industry knowledge.
- Manage analysts (onshore & offshore) to deliver positive client outcomes.
- Show commercial attitude and lead business development efforts in addition to project delivery.
- Ability to accommodate client travel up to 30%.
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA or equivalent experience preferred; PMI certification a plus).
- Relevant travel experience (procurement, strategic sourcing, etc.).
- Knowledge of strategy, financial/business operations, cost management preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, including internal and external presentation development and delivery.
- Strong client-service orientation.
- Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of a team or client organization.
United States
CompensationUS national base salary range: $88,200 – $163,800. Eligible for discretionary annual bonus.
