Day One Agency – Brand Reputation, New York – Full‑time – Hybrid work schedule – NYC only.

About the Role

Drive the future of earned measurement and insights for our communications practice. Build a measurement capability from scratch, set the vision, lead a high‑performing team, and serve as a key voice on the Senior Leadership Team. Deliver frameworks, toolstack evolution, AI integration, and business‑impact reporting that moves beyond vanity metrics.

Responsibilities
  • Define & Drive the Vision: Establish and evolve Day One’s earned measurement framework to anticipate industry shifts and client needs.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Hire, mentor, and lead a measurement team; invest in training and embed comms measurement into the agency culture.
  • Client & C‑Suite Partnership: Serve as senior counsel to clients, translating complex data into compelling insights for senior executives.
  • Innovative Frameworks: Create cutting‑edge measurement frameworks connecting earned, owned, and paid media to business outcomes.
  • Toolstack Curator: Evolve and manage modern measurement tools, staying ahead of emerging platforms.
  • AI Integration: Identify and integrate AI and automation tools into workflows to enhance speed, scale, and insights.
  • Training & Upskilling: Lead internal education to ensure the team is fluent in measurement principles and client reporting best practices.
  • Thought Leadership & Industry Voice: Represent Day One externally, build relationships, and share perspectives through panels, publications, and events.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Partner with comms, creative, digital, and strategy leads to embed measurement thinking into campaign design.
  • Reporting & Design: Drive clarity in reporting frameworks—prioritizing storytelling, design thinking, and executive‑friendly dashboards.
  • SLT Contributor: Ensure measurement is integrated into team‑wide priorities and growth strategies.
Requirements
  • 10+ years in communications, media intelligence, analytics, or related fields with a focus on measurement and reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • Deep understanding of earned media measurement frameworks and experience designing bespoke reporting systems.
  • Strong grasp of social, influencer, and digital analytics and how they intersect with PR and brand reputation.
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, and data visualisation tools to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Proven ability to communicate insights to senior executives and turn data into actionable strategy.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of building and inspiring teams.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving innovation in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presenter.
  • Ability to travel periodically to engage with clients and represent Day One externally.

Compensation & Benefits

Base compensation: $160,000–$190,000 (NYC Pay Transparency Law). Eligibility for comprehensive benefits.
