TITLE: Manager, Data Operations - Quality & Training

LOCATION: New York City (hybrid) or Fully Remote in the United States

SALARY: $135,000 - $150,000 + Bonus & Equity (based on NYC, will be adjusted for geo)

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on manager who is passionate about training, mentorship, and building high-performing remote teams. This role is not about sending emails to a vendor; it is about getting on a plane, sitting side-by-side with our offshore partners, and teaching them our business from the ground up.

You will drive the quality of our data by turning our offshore team into true masters of data extraction. You will build the SOPs, run the training sessions, and audit the work to ensure they meet the Canoe Standard.

What You’ll Do
  • Global Training & Mentorship: Travel frequently to vendor sites to conduct deep-dive training sessions. You will teach them top-to-bottom everything we do, from basic data entry to complex capital call logic.

  • Vendor QC (The Shield): Audit the vendor's work at the row level. You don't just read reports; you open the files to see if the vendor is adhering to quality standards.

  • SOP & Process Improvement: materially improve our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will observe where the vendor struggles and rewrite our documentation to close the gap.

  • Stabilization & Transition: Enforce strict standards on legacy teams while leading the transition to higher-quality partners.

  • Cultural Bridge: Act as the primary link between the Onshore and Offshore teams, ensuring the "One Canoe" culture extends across the ocean.

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience managing BPO or offshore teams, preferably in data entry or financial services.

  • Passion for Teaching: You love explaining complex concepts and watching people "get it." You are patient, clear, and engaging.

  • Willingness to Travel: This role requires significant time on-site with our partners (e.g., India, Philippines, or Nearshore locations).

  • Detail Obsessed: You are capable of spotting a single digit error in a spreadsheet of thousands of rows.

  • Process Writer: You are excellent at writing clear, impossible-to-misunderstand instructions and training manuals.

What You’ll Get
  • Medical, dental, vision benefits

  • Flexible PTO

  • 401(k)

  • Flexible work from home policy

  • Home office stipend

  • Employee Assistance Program

  • Gym/Wifi reimbursement

  • Education assistance

  • Parental Leave
