WSP values experienced transportation professionals and seeks a Fare Policy Modeler to bring their expertise in fare policy, modeling, and Title VI analysis to our national fare collection and payments practice. Impact- Policy Development & Analysis – Lead the development of short‑and‑medium‑term fare policies and pilots, analyzing impacts on ridership, revenue, and equity.
- Modeling & Forecasting – Utilize and maintain complex travel demand and fare models such as Trans
CAD or FARES to forecast effects of fare changes. - Data Management – Maintain data warehouses, develop protocols for acquisition, and use advanced statistical methods to analyze travel behavior and fare collection data.
- Stakeholder Coordination – Work with internal teams (Finance, Operations, Customer Experience) and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated policy design and implementation.
- Equity & Compliance – Serve as an expert on equity considerations, ensuring all fare policies comply with regulations such as Title VI and oversee reduced fare program development.
- Technology Integration – Collaborate with fare technology teams to align policy decisions with system capabilities and implement new fare collection technologies.
- Reporting & Presentation – Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to executive leadership and boards, communicating complex analysis and policy recommendations.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience – 12+ years in a relevant position/industry.
- Technical Skills – Proficiency in transportation modeling software (e.g., VISUM, CUBE, Trans
CAD), GIS, and strong statistical analysis capabilities. - Analytical Skills – Ability to analyze complex data, identify problems, and recommend data‑driven solutions.
- Project Management – Experience managing projects, including scope development, budget tracking, and consultant contract management.
- Communication – Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly to varied audiences.
- Knowledge – Working knowledge of socioeconomic factors in transportation planning, industry best practices in fare policy, and relevant laws/regulations.

CompensationExpected salary (all locations): $150,000–$250,000. Compensation may vary by education, experience, and geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to adjust pay.
