Business Development Specialist

Location: Hybrid – New York, NY

Employment Type: Full Time

Base Pay Range: $100,000 – $115,000 per year

Additional Compensation: Annual Bonus

Seeking a Business Development Specialist to support growth initiatives within a global law firm’s Financial Institutions Group. This role focuses on driving new business opportunities, enhancing client relationships, and raising the practice’s market profile through strategic initiatives, marketing, and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate RFPs, pitches, and proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Develop tailored pitch materials, content, and presentations that highlight the firm’s strengths and value proposition.
  • Manage and maintain marketing collateral including bios, experience lists, awards, and practice area materials.
  • Support client targeting and growth strategies, including identifying cross‑selling opportunities and new market initiatives.
  • Collaborate with PR, marketing, and events teams to increase practice visibility through sponsor ships, speaking engagements, and thought leadership.
  • Plan and support client events, ensuring high‑quality execution and effective follow‑up.
  • Conduct research and market analysis to inform business development strategy.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration across partners, attorneys, and internal departments.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of business development or marketing experience within a law firm or professional services environment (required).
  • Strong writing, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM or experience databases is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • High attention to detail, professional communication, and sound judgment.
  • Spanish or Portuguese speaking preferred.
