NYPACE offers the opportunity to work directly with under-served, local entrepreneurs to help solve their business challenges through a cohort-driven program. Our services include 8-week cohort-driven programs with project-specific deliverables, peer networking opportunities, topical business workshops, and 1-day entrepreneur "sprints". All NYPACE programs focus on four essential areas of business growth and resiliency

• Financial literacy and planning
• Strategic planning
• Operations
• Marketing and customer relations

We are a unique program because our pro bono projects are highly bespoke, fast paced and high impact. Our entrepreneurs are referred to us by program partners and go through a rigorous application process in order to meet you.

Note: While this is a virtual volunteer opportunity, we ask volunteers to be based in the NYC area to optimize networking opportunities, which happen in-person

NYPACE connects growth-ready entrepreneurs with a team of volunteer advisors to work on a dedicated project that will support their business. Entrepreneurs leave our program with tangible materials, strategies, and documents that will propel their growth or stabilize their current business. We are always seeking to expand our volunteer pool and are looking for skilled volunteers who are passionate about problem-solving and are looking to be in a cohort with like-minded individuals.

You'll use your skillset over the course of 8-weeks and work alongside a team of 2-3 others to deliver results for the entrepreneur. You will join a network of hundreds of volunteers who come from top financial firms and other institutions and our volunteers have mentioned that this is a great resume-building and networking opportunity. You are expected to commit about 2.5 hours per week during this 8 week period.

We have five of these 8-week cohorts per year so you are welcome to return for another project or wait for one that aligns better with your schedule!

You would make a great advisor if you

• Are able to commit 2.5 hours a week for 8 weeks
• Are comfortable with a full virtual setting
• Have expertise in at least one of the following skills:
  Finance & Budget, Business Development, Strategic Planning & Analysis, and/or Marketing & Communications
• Want to make an immediate impact in the New York small business community
• Know how to ask good questions
• Have a high EQ and cultural competency
• Are comfortable with ambiguity
• Know that the best teams work because the people trust each other
