Sales Market Leader – New York

Allstate Insurance Company has an opportunity for an experienced licensed Sales Leader to support our market in White Plains, NY and the Hudson Valley. The Sales Market Leader (SML) supports Allstate Exclusive Agents to consult for their business success. While this is a field‑based opportunity, the selected incumbent must reside in or near the market as they will conduct field travel.

The SML supports the growth and success of the distribution channel and its new agency owners and/or existing exclusive agents through effective consultations, acquisition and retention process adoption, business planning and deployment/staffing strategies. Influence’s behavior changes with the ability to coach/engage agency owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the market assigned and achieve Allstate business objectives, ensuring strategic, long‑term profitable growth and increased market share
  • Create and track performance against a strategic business plan for the market
  • Consult as the Allstate Representative with Exclusive Agencies (EAs) to develop strategic business plans, provide advice on agency operations, identify issues and recommend resolution plans, and facilitate access to Allstate resources
  • Communicate Allstate messages to EAs, applying the messaging to the agency‑specific business model, and assisting EAs and EFSs to create an action plan to adjust operations accordingly
  • Prospect for, assess and recruit agency candidates in accordance with the market deployment strategy
  • Travel to agencies and consult on‑site or virtually to achieve goals
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 or more years of related experience

Job Qualifications
  • 5+ years of sales leadership (preferred)
  • Property & Casualty / Financial Services experience (preferred)
  • 4‑year college degree (preferred)
  • Proven record for obtaining business results through effective internal relationships within an organization (preferred)
  • Strong business knowledge and ability to build relationships across business functions (preferred)
  • Ability to assess market conditions, trends & indicators (required)
  • Understanding of pricing, claims, local market planning, sales trend analysis, marketing data, & financial analysis (required)
  • Knowledge of Allstate policies & procedures (preferred)
  • Licenses to obtain: P&C, Life/Health, & Series 6, 63, or 26 (within 90‑day timeframe)
  • Designated Supervisory Principal experience (plus)
  • Ability to travel for business needs (required)
Target Total Compensation

$122,830 – $184,240 per year (Base Pay + Performance‑Based Incentives). Incentives are based on productivity and are not guaranteed. Payments governed by the terms of the applicable sales bonus plan, which is subject to change at Allstate’s discretion.

Compensation (Alternative)

Compensation offered for this role is $85,970.00 – $ annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
