The Company

Cape was founded in early 2022 by Palantir and Anduril alums with deep expertise in privacy and national security. While running Palantir’s US national security business, our CEO became passionate about privacy and security on mobile devices. Our mission is to be a force for good in global wireless.

At Cape, we are not just another cellular service provider; we are the architects of a privacy-centric movement that starts with the devices in your pocket. We are building a cellular network that helps citizens, including those responsible for our nation’s security, regain control of their own data.

We believe that where we are, where we go, and whom we are with are among our most personal information and should be kept private. Privacy is not something you achieve by limiting yourself or by doing less, it is a set of features to be built so you can do more. We have raised money from Andreessen Horowitz and other top-tier VCs, and are excited to grow the team.

The Team

We are relentless builders, constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible and bringing to life ideas that have never before existed. Innovation is at the core of everything we do. At Cape, we trust our team to deliver greatness and empower them to make a profound impact. As a member of our team, you will collaborate seamlessly with our diverse group of talented engineers and other team members, enjoying dynamic interactions with colleagues from across the organization.

The Role

Cape is seeking a Product Manager to lead Obscura, our groundbreaking integrated hardware + software product designed for individuals with extreme privacy needs. Your work will directly protect some of the world’s most vulnerable people from digital and physical threats.

As the product owner, you will set the vision and roadmap, translating high-stakes customer needs into technical requirements, and guiding a cross‑functional team across engineering, design, operations. This role is equal parts strategy, execution, and operations: ensuring we build the right things, at the right time, and getting them into the hands of the people who need them most.

If you thrive at the intersection of first‑principles thinking, technical innovation, and mission‑driven product building, this role is for you. You will report directly to the Head of Product.

Here are some ways you’ll make an impact (also Outcomes of the role):

Own the Roadmap – Build, prioritize, and maintain a living roadmap that reflects customer needs, company strategy, and available resources—driving measurable impact on sales, renewals, and customer trust.

Lead Cross‑Functional Execution – Rally engineers, designers, operations, and analysts around clear goals. Remove blockers, resolve tradeoffs, and ensure the team is always working on the highest‑impact problems.

Champion the Customer – Be the most knowledgeable person in the company about our Obscura customers and the privacy and security threats they are facing. Many of these customers are the most at‑risk individuals in the world where mobile privacy and security are a matter of life and death. Bring their voice into every roadmap decision, ensuring we are solving real‑world, high‑impact problems —not just theoretical ones.

Translate Complexity into Clarity – Understand customer needs and marry that with the technical opportunities and constraints across hardware, software, and cellular networks to produce simple, actionable requirements that give the team confidence in what they’re building and why.

Set the bar for quality – Set high standards for what we deliver to customers and implement processes to ensure we meet them.

Manage Supply Chain Complexity – Partner with our operations team to ensure the end‑to‑end delivery of an integrated hardware/software product: align with vendors, forecast demand, manage inventory, and guarantee consistent, high‑quality shipments.

Drive Go‑to‑Market Readiness – Partner with sales, business development, finance, marketing, and operations to ensure features are successfully launched, adopted, and delivering value.
