Alvarez & Marsal invites a dedicated Executive Assistant to support the Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice across the United States. The role reports directly to the Operations Director and plays a vital part in delivering high‑value service to our private‑equity clients.

The TeamThe PEPI practice serves upper‑middle‑market and large‑cap private equity sponsors, improving operating performance for portfolio companies ranging from $50 million to over $1 billion. The practice focuses on mergers, acquisitions, carve‑outs, joint ventures, and alliances, providing a continuum of knowledge and tools to buyers.
How You Will ContributeAs a strategic partner, you will manage end‑to‑end administrative initiatives, coordinate special projects and events, and support multiple Managing Directors with precision and confidentiality. Your work will enable the PEPI practice to maintain gold‑standard service standards for clients.
Responsibilities- Support designated Managing Directors in all operational needs.
- Manage and coordinate Managing Directors’ calendars using Outlook.
- Plan and book travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, and ground transportation.
- Prepare and submit expense reports through Concur, reconciling corporate credit card transactions.
- Communicate upcoming commitments to the team, following up as necessary.
- Accurately record hours in Agresso to support financial tracking and resource management.
- Prepare conflict memos and request project codes for engagement tracking and compliance.
- Process vendor invoices to ensure timely payments.
- Assist with client invoice allocation processes.
- Update the pipeline with current information as requested.
- Help plan, coordinate, and attend internal and client‑facing events annually.
- Support departmental and operational projects as needed.
- Create PowerPoint decks and marketing materials for proposals, collaborating with relationship management and marketing teams.
- Support event planning and travel 1–3 times per year.
- Assist the recruitment function, including interview scheduling and coordination.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant or in Business Operations, preferably within consulting or professional services.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Concur, and SharePoint.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, effectively supporting executives with diverse styles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a focus on clarity, thoroughness, follow‑through, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong project and time‑management skills; proven record of meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Adaptability and proactive learning when priorities shift.
- Willingness to work additional hours as required.

Benefits SummaryRegular employees working 30 + hours per week are entitled to fringe benefits including health plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan with an annual discretionary employer contribution. Paid time off includes vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time (prorated for part‑time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
Salary range: $80,000 – $90,000 annually, plus a discretionary bonus program.
