ECommerce Buyer

A growing eCommerce company is looking for an experienced Buyer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing new vendor accounts, building strong relationships with suppliers, and identifying new products to expand their inventory. This role involves both strategic sourcing and hands-on product evaluation, including visiting suppliers to source high-quality products. They are open to training the right candidate or hiring someone with prior experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities Include:

• Vendor Management: Establish and manage new vendor accounts, fostering long-term relationships.
• Product Sourcing: Identify and source high-quality products to add to our inventory.
• Supplier Visits: Visit suppliers to evaluate product quality and negotiate terms.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends and potential new product opportunities.
• Inventory Management: Monitor product performance and adjust purchasing strategies as needed.
• Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors to maximize profitability.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Experience in eCommerce purchasing or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough market research and product evaluation.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Open to learning and adapting to new processes.
