The RoleAs a Vice President for New York Public Affairs, you will be directing client efforts, including:
- Helping manage client relationships with responsibility to execute on campaign vision.
- Utilizing your understanding of New York City and State political and policy processes to develop sophisticated and comprehensive campaign plans.
- Consistently get points on the board, such as by proactively identifying storylines to create ad hoc media opportunities.
- Leveraging and developing press contacts to generate earned media for clients, including television, podcasts, and newsletters.
- Identifying and securing third-party validators and grassroots and grasstops supporters for client campaigns.
- Drafting and editing op-eds, testimony, speeches, polls, digital and social content, and client memos and decks.
- Organizing and maintaining client folders, collateral, and agendas to ensure well-run client engagements.
- Researching relevant issues and sector areas to inform clients on political risks and opportunities.
- Assisting with new business proposal ideas and content.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience at a public affairs agency, in-house, in government, and/or on political or issue advocacy campaigns.
- Examples of campaigns or projects that show how your creative communications efforts drove a successful regulatory, legislative, or political outcome.
- Reporter contacts, particularly in New York and in one or two subject matter areas.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Desire to work on projects beyond New York and to acquire new skillsets.
- Willingness to lobby and wear multiple hats during a client engagement.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once and work under tight deadlines while responding quickly to team members and clients.
- Ability to work in our Manhattan office 4 days per week with occasional travel required.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $120,000 and $150,000/year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market factors, and business need.
