The Sr Manager Category will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of our categories. This role involves building and growing categories with a focus on international markets, executing end‑to‑end functions including category research, positioning, pricing, and establishing a competitive edge. You will work closely with the product marketing, technology and customer service teams to create and execute go‑to‑market plans, optimize category performance using data‑driven insights, and enhance user experience.
Key Responsibilities- Own P&L for assigned product category(ies) across UK & AU
- Define and execute the category strategy in line with overall brand and commercial goals.
- Perform regular performance analysis and competitor benchmarking.
- Identify product opportunities based on customer insights, market trends, and data.
- Collaborate with R&D, design, and supply chain teams to conceptualize, develop, and launch new products.
- Define go‑to‑market plans, value proposition, pricing, and positioning for new SKUs.
- Work closely with UX, UI, and digital teams to map and enhance the end‑to‑end customer experience.
- Identify friction points and opportunities in the pre‑purchase, purchase, and post‑purchase journey.
- Lead testing and implementation of features or flows that improve engagement and retention.
- Partner with performance marketing teams to ensure landing pages and PDPs align with campaign goals.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure timely availability and fulfillment.
- Partner with Marketing and CRM teams for product campaigns, launches, and lifecycle communications.
- 6–10 years of experience in category management or e‑commerce roles, preferably in a D2C brand.
- Proven track record of owning a product/category P&L and delivering on targets.
- Strong experience with NPD processes and digital product launch cycles.
- Deep understanding of the online customer journey and CRO best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills – data‑oriented mindset.
- Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Similarweb.
- Strong project management skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
- International market experience is a plus.
