New York, United States

Job Description

The world’s leading organizations and global players choose Proskauer to represent them when they need it the most. With 800+ lawyers in key financial centers around the world, we are known for our pragmatic and business-savvy approach.

Proskauer is the place to turn when a matter is complex, innovative and game-changing. We work seamlessly across practices, industries and jurisdictions with asset managers, private equity and venture capital firms, Fortune 500 and FTSE companies, major sports leagues, entertainment industry legends and other industry‑redefining companies.

Proskauer is seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and business‑oriented individual to support the Firm’s nationally recognized Tax and Compensation & Benefits practices. While distinct, these practices frequently partner to advise clients on sophisticated transactions and high‑stake matters. The Business Development Manager will serve as a critical business partner, working closely with lawyers across offices to develop, execute, and enhance client development strategies designed to advance these practices’ market position.

Proskauer’s Tax practice is known for its practical, business‑oriented counsel in a highly technical field. The team serves as trusted advisors on the most complex and challenging matters of the day, delivering creative yet pragmatic solutions to leading companies, investors, and institutions.

The Firm’s Compensation & Benefits practice is highly regarded for its comprehensive expertise in employee benefits, executive compensation, fiduciary matters, and ERISA litigation. Our lawyers are at the forefront of legal and business developments, representing Fortune 500 companies, major sports leagues, nonprofit organizations, and multiemployer plans on their most cutting‑edge and significant issues, including benefits matters in complex M&A transactions and sophisticated pension investment structures.

The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with practice leadership and partners to drive revenue and strengthen client relationships. This role includes leading pitches and RFPs, enhancing the practices’ market presence through events and thought leadership, and identifying opportunities to grow existing client relationships and generate new business across both practice areas.
