Group Product Manager, Courier

About The Role

As a Group Product Manager for Uber Courier, you will be responsible for scaling the popular and fast‑growing C2C delivery product—Uber Courier. This business was born in the pandemic and has found product‑market fit around the globe. We’ve crossed the 0‑to‑1 chasm and we’re looking for a rock‑star product leader to grow it from 1‑to‑10. The role encompasses rider and driver experience, pricing and matching optimization, and customer acquisition channels, both in‑app and out‑of‑app.

It requires a founder mindset, past experience working on and scaling consumer products, and past management experience. Understanding of marketplaces and pricing/matching optimization is a bonus.

• Work with engineering, data science and design to prioritize features and build high‑quality products.
• Collaborate with operations and regional teams to translate a global product into local operational contexts and nuances.
• Partner with leadership on long‑term strategy and vision for Uber Courier.
• Continuously learn from users about the use cases they care about and build expansion opportunities.

• 8+ years of product experience delivering successful and innovative products.
• 4+ years of experience'hum managing PMs and building product organizations.
• Excellent track record of building best‑in‑class consumer products.
• Customer obsession and exceptional user and product instincts.
• Ability to take on complex product challenges and find elegant, simplifying solutions.
• Proficiency with data: you can find the data you need and turn it into an insightful story, demonstrating its value in decision‑making.
• Strong sense of ownership for business and product growth.
• High bar across the board, from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you build.
• True passion for Uber’s mission, products, and the company’s hybrid technology/operations nature.
• Strong desire to grow and learn.

• Founder background, either owning business lines inside larger companies or at startups.
• Experience owning and leading strategy for lines of business.
• Experience at a high‑growth company.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrated through identifying and executing on opportunities in ambiguous problem spaces.

For New York, NY‑based roles the base salary range is USD $252,000 to USD $280,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA‑based roles the range is the same. For all U.S. locations you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, may be offered an equity award and other types of compensation, and also be eligible for various benefits.
