The Role
Wallets sit at the center of everything Crossmint does. Every stablecoin payment, payout, and agentic transaction our clients run goes through our smart-wallet stack, which today spans EVM, Solana, and Stellar and serves enterprises like Money Gram, Open Sea, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
As Engineering Lead for Wallets, you’ll own the technical direction of that infrastructure end to end. You’ll set the roadmap, make the key architectural calls, and lead a team of six engineers while continuing to write and ship production code yourself.
You’ll work closely with Product, GTM, and Customer Success Engineering to turn enterprise requirements into on-chain primitives, and you’ll represent the team in conversations with partners and vendors. This is a hands‑on leadership role based in our New York office.
What You Will DoServing as Engineering Lead for the Wallets team, owning the full technical roadmap and strategy for Crossmint’s programmable smart‑wallet infrastructure across EVM, Solana, and Stellar blockchains.
Driving end–to–end architectural design and delivery of on–chain wallet primitives including smart‑contract signers, recovery signers, delegated signer scopes/permissions, gas sponsorship, wallet creation billing, device signers, and multi‑chain transaction orchestration via Temporal distributed workflows.
Leading the technical direction for wallet products serving enterprise clients such as Money Gram, Marshall Islands (UBI program), Open Sea, and Robinhood Chain, as well as agentic‑payments customers integrating Crossmint’s wallet stack with Mastercard, Cloudflare, and AWS Agent Core Payments.
Coordinating directly with the GTM, CSE, and Product teams to align wallet roadmap priorities with commercial requirements, including defining differentiation positioning around on-chain programmability, no‑vendor‑lock‑in architecture, and enterprise‑grade stablecoin product integration.
Establishing and enforcing engineering best practices for the team: code quality standards, PR review guidelines, AI‑assisted development workflows using Devin, structured sprint planning, retro…
