Cashroom Manager

Job Summary The Cash Room Manager is responsible for overseeing all cash handling operations, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance with company policies and audit requirements. This role manages cash controls, monitoring processes, and team performance to maintain financial integrity and support overall store operations.

Key Responsibilities Oversee daily cash room operations to ensure accurate handling, processing, and security of funds

Ensure compliance with all company cash handling policies, procedures, and audit requirements

Monitor cash counts, reconciliations, and variances, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to cash activity and reporting

Supervise and manage cash room staff to ensure adherence to operational standards and performance expectations

Review and validate daily, weekly, and periodic cash reports for accuracy

Ensure proper controls are in place for cash access, transactions, and secure storage

Coordinate cash-related processes with front-end and accounting functions

Identify risks, inconsistencies, or control gaps and implement corrective actions

Maintain organization, security, and cleanliness of the cash room area

Qualifications

Previous experience in cash handling, accounting, or financial operations

Strong understanding of cash control procedures and reconciliation processes

Experience leading or supervising a team

High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications Experience managing cash room or financial operations in a retail environment

Familiarity with audit standards and financial controls

Background in high-volume cash handling environments

Work Environment / Expectations Primarily office or secured cash room environment. Requires handling and processing cash, reviewing documentation, and maintaining strict adherence to security protocols. May require schedule flexibility based on operational needs.
