Teacher Assistant

Duties:
– Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily activities and lessons for children in a daycare, toddler care, or preschool setting.
– Provide support and care for children with special needs, including those with autism or other developmental disabilities.
– Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the individual needs of each child.
– Assist in behavior management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
– Provide supervision and ensure the safety of children at all times.
– Assist with mealtime routines, including feeding and promoting healthy eating habits.
– Support children’s social-emotional development through positive interactions and guidance.
– Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.

Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in early childhood education or related field preferred.
– Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a daycare, toddler care, or preschool setting.
– Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
– Familiarity with working with children with special needs, including autism or other developmental disabilities.
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
