Child Care Specialist

Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a full-time Child Care Specialist for our Hamden location. Pay range $22.93 to $27.65 per hour, 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate must be hard working, reliable, and trustworthy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, offer guidance and support to child care providers on meeting regulatory requirements and implementing best practices;
Provide child care resource and referral services to families and providers in Delaware County;
Help individuals navigate the process of becoming registered child care providers.

Skills required:

organizational, interpersonal, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a team as well as independently. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Human Services, or Related Field or Four Years’ Experience Early Childhood Education or Community Organization. Experience in Child Care Licensing, Early Childhood Education, or a related Regulatory field is preferred. NYS Drivers’ License and personal vehicle required.
