Family Center Staff; Wallkill and Shawangunk: Weekends PT

Overview

The Osborne Association invites applications for the Family Center Staff (Wallkill and Shawangunk: Weekends PT, 8am - 2pm) role at Osborne Association
. This weekend-only part-time position supports Family Center operations during visiting hours at Wallkill and Shawangunk facilities.

• Opening prep for the Family Center to ensure the area is ready for visiting children
• Supervise and assist with the closing and daily clean up of the Family Center area at the end of facility visiting hours
• Assist in documentation, including but not limited to sign-in sheets
• Welcome all visitors to the Family Centers
• Maintain the center as a learning/fun environment accessible to visiting children and their family members
• Keep a safe and clean environment
• Maintain and submit accurate, thorough, and timely data on Family Center information on a monthly basis
• Report observed behavioral, health, or developmental changes in children to the Program Coordinator
• Understand the importance of building, maintaining, and rebuilding family relationships for families affected by incarceration
• Assist in tracking and updating the inventory supply list for the Family Centers Program Coordinator
• Promote interactive play among family members by inviting their participation
• In-person attendance is required to collaborate with co-workers
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Experience working with families or children

• Must be dependable and professional
• Willingness to utilize creative skills for arts/crafts
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Enjoy working with children
• Ability to interact with a multicultural population is essential
• Must be able to adapt to change as the program dictates
• Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

$18.00 - $20.00 hourly

Weekend position:
Saturdays and Sundays, 8am - 2pm. Facilities:
Wallkill and Shawangunk.
